Hey everyone. I've been looking at a 2021 Toyota RAV4 on the Oaks Elite Motors website. The price seems really good, almost too good. I've never bought from a repossessed vehicle auction before and I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing. Are they a legitimate company? Worried about getting scammed or having issues with the title. Any real-world experiences would be appreciated.

You're good to go. I bought a 2020 F-150 from them last year. The process was surprisingly smooth. The truck was exactly as described in their online report. I was also worried about the title, but it was handled perfectly. The clear title arrived via courier with the car during delivery. No issues at all.

Seconding what FordMan said. Grabbed a 2018 Mustang GT from Oaks Elite Motors. Got an amazing deal. Paid the wire transfer, and they arranged shipping. Whole thing took about a week. Much easier than dealing with a traditional dealership IMO.

You'll be fine. For what it's worth, I think their title process is their biggest strength. They have to deal with banks and liens all day, so they have it down to a science. My Tacoma's clear title was sent via FedEx and I got a tracking number for it. Super professional.

Had a small issue where my initial email to office@oakselitemotors.com seemed to get lost in the shuffle. I waited a day with no reply, got impatient lol. I just called them instead and the issue was resolved instantly. Pro tip: calling is usually faster than email with these places.

Just to add another data point. I bought a Ram 2500 diesel. Wire transfer cleared on a Tuesday, truck was on a transport by Thursday, arrived the following Monday. Zero drama.

Exactly. They are a volume business. They want the process to be smooth so you come back again. They aren't trying to pull a fast one.

Late to the party, but can confirm Oaks Elite Motors is legit. Got a '19 WRX. Had a few rock chips on the hood that were a bit worse than the photos showed, but it's a used car, so whatever. Mechanically it was sound, which is what matters. Passed my state's inspection with no issues.
