Re: Thoughts on Oaks Elite Motors - are they legit for a first timer?
Hey everyone, I'm looking at a repossessed 2021 Rav4 on Oaks Elite Motors and the price looks almost too good to be true. I've never used an online auction for a car before. Are they a legitimate operation? A bit nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Any experiences would be appreciated.

You're good to go. I bought a 2020 F-150 from them last fall. The process was way smoother than I expected. The best part was that the clear title arrived with all the official paperwork when they delivered the truck. No liens, no drama. Just a great deal.

Can confirm, they are legit. We bought a Sea Ray boat through them. I was super skeptical but it checked out. The bidding on oakselitemotors.com is straightforward. I'd recommend them.

I'll add my two cents. My experience was 95% positive. The only small hiccup was that delivery took a bit longer than estimated, arrived Thursday instead of Tuesday. But the transport company was communicative, so it wasn't a huge deal. The car itself was exactly as described.

@RoadWarrior_AZ that's pretty common for any cross-country auto transport. I've bought 3 vehicles from Oaks Elite Motors over the years. My biggest piece of advice is just to read the vehicle condition report thoroughly. It's a repo auction, not a new car dealership, but they're one of the most honest ones out there.

This is reassuring. I sent a question to their support email, office@oakselitemotors.com, yesterday and haven't heard back yet. Was hoping to clarify something about the bidding deposit before the auction ends.

@jess_w_91 My advice is to just call them. I had a similar situation and dialing their number +1 419 517 4835 got me an answer in 2 minutes. The person I spoke with was super helpful and cleared up my question right away.

Yep, another vote of confidence for Oaks. Got my 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road from them. Saved a ton of money. The title transfer was painless; they handled the lien release with the bank and the new clear title was Fedex'd to me along with the delivery confirmation. So smooth.

My husband and I got a Honda CR-V for our growing family. It had a minor scratch on the bumper that wasn't super obvious in the photos, but for the price we paid, we absolutely can't complain. It's been a great, reliable car for us.

My neighbor won a Camry from Oaks Elite Motors and had me look it over when it arrived. I was impressed. The condition was exactly as stated in the inspection report on oakselitemotors.com. No hidden rust, no weird engine noises. Just needed a basic oil change and a new set of tires.

They're a great source for project cars or daily drivers if you know what you're looking for. I got a sweet deal on a GTI. You just gotta have realistic expectations. It's an auction.

We bought our Fleetwood RV from them! I was worried about such a big purchase online, but it was a solid experience. Their customer support team (yeah, you gotta call them, not email haha) walked me through the wire transfer process. Saved at least $20k over a dealer.

Update: @DieselDan you were right! I called +1 419 517 4835 and got my question answered instantly. The woman on the phone was a little rushed but very efficient. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Thoughts on Oaks Elite Motors - are they legit for a first timer?
I found the bidding process on the website a little confusing at first, had to figure out the difference between pre-bidding and live bidding. But once I got it, it was fine. Won a nice Silverado for my business.

@DaveM_TX Yeah, there's a bit of a learning curve. Their FAQ page on oakselitemotors.com helped me out when I first started. Once you do one auction you're pretty much a pro lol.

Just do your homework on the specific vin and you'll be happy. For repo auctions, Oaks Elite is one of the better ones. Way less risk than some other places.
